If you're looking for a Realtor who is honest, fair, reasonable, hard-working and loves people, call me. I'm Betsy Born, and I'll be pleased to help you to a successful result. Jacksonville became my home in 1993, when Barnett Bank bought First Florida Banks, moving me here from Tampa. I stayed on through several corporate mergers, and retired from Bank Of America in 2012, after 27 years of a banking career working largely behind the scenes. Now what?, I asked myself. I began to evaluate my strong points: thoroughness, organization, patience, training, attention to detail. These are the things I knew I was good at. They'd helped facilitate my career moves, finally leading me into the area of identity theft and fraud analysis for the bank. I'd even won awards and recognition for these skills during my banking career. And, I'd had a chance to learn a lot about Northeast Florida and the character of its varied areas and neighborhoods. I then realized I wanted to help people find or sell their homes. People and community have always been core values for me. My volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, our church's worldwide ministry, and working to have a positive influence on young adults are the recurrent themes of my adult life. I wanted a career working with people, helping them to positive end results. I've found that in Real Estate: every client wants a positive outcome. Every transaction requires and deserves my full attention and follow through. Every successful closing is a real accomplishment. I'm blessed to have a wonderful and supportive husband, Jeff, who I met in 1996. I have 2 older sisters; one lives in Palm Coast and the other lives with our aging dad who doesn't need to live alone. We have one dog, a Boxer named Max. Max is 4 yrs old. Jeff and I are members of Christian Family Chapel and enjoy boating, skiing, swimming, snorkeling, sunsets, Jimmy Buffett, football, softball, golf, NASCAR Racing, grilling out and cooking for friends and family.
